Essential Information for Ticket Holders and Festival Goers | What Where How & Why
Blues at Bridgetown - Australia

It's Almost Time... for another MASSIVE weekend of 'Family Friendly' Fun and Festivities, are you ready for this Festival Folk?!

The outdoor music venues are taking shape, the fencing is up, lights and sound will soon be bumping in, and we're getting ready to brief our 250 strong Festival Team. Right after that, we welcome our artists... and you!

This is some important information about the Festival, what to do when you get here, as well as some tips and links to other information you might be interested in.

We look forward to welcoming you to Bridgetown very soon!

TICKETS & WRISTBANDS

All booked tickets are exchanged for a wristband in one location – the Ticket Office. You then access every ticketed venue by showing your wristband. Wristbands are coloured differently, based on the type of ticket you bought and we place the wristband on every single person to ensure it is secure. To get everyone on their way as quickly as possible, there are some things that we need from you.

PRESENT AS A GROUP

If you have purchased multiple tickets on a booking, you all need to come to the Ticket Office as a group so we can wristband everyone that is part of your booking. When you received the email confirmation of your booking, you got a receipt and your booking details. The booking is the one WITH THE BARCODE. This is the one you must present.

EVERY PERSON NEEDS TO PRESENT ID

We will verify that the person presenting the booking is the person who made the purchase. We will also verify EVERY person's age – tickets for youth and children need to be the correct age for the ticket purchased, and all adult tickets holders will be verified as being over 18 (which speeds up bar service).

The address for the Ticket Office is 154 Hampton Street, Bridgetown. There’s a link to a Google map at the end of this document. Ticket Office hours are:

Friday: Midday – 10:30pm

Saturday: 9:00am –10:30pm

Sunday: 10:00am – 2:00pm

ECO-CAMPERS

If you have purchased Eco-Camping Accommodation, you will get a second wristband for access to the campsite. This is all done at the same time as your event wristband. Remember that you need to bring your own linen, sleeping bag or bedding, pillows and torch (no power provided). Check-in at the campsite is from 4:30pm on Friday. Check-out is by 7:00am Monday. The Eco-Camping details are on our website (see links at the end of this document). Breakfast will be available for purchase on-site from 7am until 10am, run by the Bridgetown Highschool P & C... at a very reasonable price.

WOULD YOU LIKE A DRINK?

Bars in the ticketed venues work on a drink ticket system. This makes bar service much quicker. You can purchase drink tickets at the Ticket Office, or in the licensed venues. Purchasing them when you are getting your wristband can save you time later on. Drink Tickets are not refundable, so you should purchase enough to get you started and top up later by buying more in the venues.

The Ticket Office accepts EFTPOS, MasterCard, Visa and Cash.

TICKETED VENUES

The three ticketed venues are all licensed, and it is a requirement under the Liquor Licensing Act that all liquor is served and consumed in a responsible manner so as to not affect the enjoyment and safety of other patrons. Management therefore reserves the right to refuse entry and/or remove patrons from the licensed venues. Minors under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian at all times.

Bag search is a condition of entry. The following are prohibited in these venues:

BYO alcohol • drink of any kind (with the exception of water in sealed plastic bottles) • picnic hampers, eskys and the like • glass • tables • umbrellas • tents, sun shelters and the like • video or still cameras (apart from mobile phone cameras) • animals (with the exception of assistance dogs) • dangerous and/or illegal items

You can bring in: fold-up or low back chairs • rugs and blankets • water (sealed plastic bottles only) • mobile phone cameras.

PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

A detailed performance program will be available for you to download on our website, shortly and we will notify you via Facebook once it is available.

You can also purchase a Festival Program (still only $4) at the Ticket Office. As well as performance times, it has a fold out map, bios on every artist and some info to help you discover all that the weekend has to offer. For Weekend ticket holders, your Festival Program is complimentary.

RAIN, HAIL OR SHINE

No matter what the location, weather can be an unknown variable. Checking local forecasts is always a good idea and the link below will give you the 7 day outlook for Bridgetown. It can be a bit brisk in the mornings, the sunny days can be quite warm and the evenings can be chilly. But whatever the weather – you’ll be here, we’ll be here and so will the artists – the music will play on! So pack well.

KEEP UP WITH THE LATEST

The best way to keep up to date with last minute performance program changes and other important info over the Festival weekend is to join us on social media. We’ll also be sharing amazing moments and hope you will too! Our sharing will be family friendly, (just like our event) and yours should be too. Go on … we know you like us, you really really like us.

PARKING

Parking is at a premium right in front of the Ticket Office, but there is ample parking about a 5 minute walk away on the corner of Spencer & Steere Streets, right near the railway line. Even if you park at the other end of town, it’s less than a 10 minute walk.

For our Street Party on Saturday some carparks close at 5:00pm on Friday, and the main road through town is closed from 7:00am Saturday morning. Make sure you don’t leave you car anywhere you shouldn’t on Friday or it will be towed away (which won’t be fun for you or us). There will be signs telling you where you can’t park (including areas that require a parking permit), or what time you need to leave by. Oh, and please don’t park in driveways anywhere.

FINALLY …

Please drive carefully. Take rests if you need to – we’ll be here whenever you get here.

Stay safe and journey well... We look forward to seeing you soon!
